Information we collect
Account information
We collect your email address, account identifier, display name, profile image, and sign-in provider details.
Recipes and imported content
We collect recipes, cookbooks, meal plans, grocery lists, import links, photos, videos, pasted text, and import feedback you submit.
Dietary preferences
We collect optional dietary restrictions and cooking preferences that you submit during onboarding. We use this information to personalize Recivy features.
Subscription and credit information
We store your plan, subscription status, renewal status, product identifier, credit balance, credit activity, and import charges.
Apple, Google, or another authorized store processes your payment details. Recivy does not store your complete payment card details.
Usage and technical information
We can collect app events, device details, crash reports, error details, IP addresses, and request logs.
How we use information
- Provide, secure, maintain, and improve Recivy.
- Authenticate accounts and synchronize saved content.
- Import recipes and create structured recipe data.
- Personalize features using your dietary and cooking preferences.
- Manage subscriptions, credits, renewals, and refunds.
- Detect misuse, investigate errors, and provide support.
- Measure product performance when analytics is enabled.
- Meet legal, tax, accounting, and security requirements.
AI processing
Recivy sends only the content you select for an AI import. This can include page text, pasted text, images, video frames, and audio.
AI providers, including Google and OpenAI services, process this content to identify recipe ingredients, steps, and related details. Recivy does not send your complete saved library for an import.
Service providers
We use providers that help operate Recivy. These providers process information for hosting, storage, authentication, imports, analytics, crash reporting, and subscription management.
These providers can include Firebase, MongoDB, RevenueCat, Google Analytics, other Google services, OpenAI, OpenRouter, Apify, Jina AI, ScrapingBee, PostHog, and Sentry. Store providers can also process subscription information.
We can disclose information when law requires it. We can also disclose information to protect users, Recivy, or the public.
We do not sell your personal information.
Retention and deletion
We keep information while your account remains active. We can keep limited records longer for security, billing, tax, dispute, or legal requirements.
The app lets you request deletion of your Recivy account and its associated data.
Recivy deletes your Firebase sign-in account immediately. Recivy retains associated data for up to 30 days before permanent deletion. Account deletion does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription.

Security and international processing
We use administrative and technical safeguards. No storage or transmission method provides complete security.
Recivy and its providers can process information in countries outside your country. Local data laws can differ in those countries.
Children
Recivy does not target children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices and rights
You can update some account details, export recipes, delete Recivy content, or stop using the service. Your location can give you more privacy rights.

Policy changes
We can update this policy when Recivy or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date on this page.
